What can I say. There was no notification. No prior warning. No email. I logged in today to find that the price to join Elegant Themes has been raised from the previous $19.95 to $39 per year. I do not even know when that happened and it is very embarrassing for me as an affiliate to be in the dark over this matter. I had no chance to warn people about the impending price increase so they can join before the hike and lock in to the old pricing for at least one year. Offering a grace period and notifying all their affiliates before the increase would have been really nice. Sign-ups could have been doubled for that period as fence-sitters takes the plunge before the increase.

Before anyone thinks otherwise, I am not bitching about the $20 price increase. At $39 it is still worth every penny you pay for. All Elegant Themes are of superior premium quality in style and looks. All Themes are updated in tandem with any WordPress upgrades so you do not have to worry about using an out dated Theme if you have grown fond of one. New Themes are added very frequently. At this time of writing, there are 44 Themes available for free download to members. So what is a mere $39 a year? At the rate that new Themes are added, by the time your yearly membership expires, there will be more than 80 themes available. That works out to be less than half a dollar per theme. It is still a steal, so to say.

Yes, the price increase is very much justified. No complains about that, but like I said, it would have been nice of Nick Roach if I have been notified beforehand.
